Dr. Dennis Branch 5K Run/Walk

The 5K Run is organized in honor of Dr. Dennis Branch, a respected African American physician from Newport, Tennessee. Known nationally from an appearance on the "This Is Your Life" television show in 1958, Dr. Branch left a lasting legacy following his death in 1964. The run will take place at Newport City Park and is open to all ages. Chip timing will be provided by Trojan Timing, with the route clearly marked. The event supports the Tennessee Picnic and commemorates Dr. Branch's contributions to the community.
