News: Achill Half Marathon

Credit : sedoglia Half-Marathon results Freddy Keron Sittuk (1:12:42) beat Brendan McDonnell (1:12:44) by two seconds to defend his title at the Achill Island Half Marathon in Ireland. McDonnell finished eighth a year ago. Rounding out the top three was Declan McDonnell at 1:18:30. In the women’s race, Norah Newcombe Pieterse notched a first place finish first with a time of 1:23:06. Emma Grimes made it in, less than a minute later at 1:23:51. Third place finisher Charlotte Kearney was the only other runner to clear one hour and 30 minutes, finishing in 1:27:30.
