John Nzau Mwangangi (2:06:13) set a course record by more than a minute to win the Maraton Valencia Trinidad Alfonso in Spain.
Over 14,000 runners took part in the race.
Matthew Kipkoech Kisorio secured second with a time of 2:06:33.
Felix Kipchirchir Kandie finished a close third at 2:07:07.
All three men set personal bests.
For the women, it was Beata Nandajala Naigambo (2:26:57) cutting more than four minutes from her winning mark in 2014, to defending her title.
She set the course record by three seconds.
Nancy Jepkosgei Kiprop (2:27:34) managed to hold off Malika Asahssah (2:28:01) to earn runner-up honors.
