Craig Ottman claimed the sixth annual Red, White and Boom Half Marathon in Minneapolis, Minnesota with a time of 1:14:35.
Located along the Mississippi River, the event saw more than 2479 Fourth of July participants pass through.
Besufekad Shannon-Tamrat bested W. Scott Lindell by ten seconds for a second place finish with a time of 1:15:47.
Leading the fastest year yet in the women’s race, Jen Van Otterloo set a course record with her 1:20:21 finish.
Otterloo’s mark was almost two minutes faster than the time of 1:22:13 set in 2011.
Also cracking the all-time top 10, were second and third place finishers Shaelyn Sorensen (1:23:22) and Elizabeth Frick (1:25:46), who’s times were good for fifth and seventh, respectively.
