Let's Get Moving For Sickle Cell Day 5K

Join the Adam A. Smith Legacy Sickle Cell Foundation Inc. for a 5k run/walk to support Sickle Cell Disease research and awareness at Lovejoy Regional Park, with both in-person and virtual options available. The event coincides with World Sickle Cell Day, aiming to raise funds and awareness for this genetic disorder affecting approximately 100,000 Americans. The Sickle Cell Foundation of Georgia will provide free testing for the Sickle Cell trait during the event. Founded by ReKena Smith in memory of her husband, the foundation seeks to improve the lives of those with Sickle Cell Disease through social assistance initiatives.
