Vac and Dash Waffle House 10K Plus Run with 5K Option

The Annual Memorial Day Waffle House Walk/Run is a longstanding tradition in Albemarle, offering participants a non-timed running event starting and ending at the Waffle House. The event began in 2008 and includes both a longer route and a shorter alternative for participants. A water stop is available on the course, and runners are encouraged to run against traffic on the road shoulder. The event concludes with breakfast at the Waffle House. It typically attracts 40 to 100 participants and offers commemorative shirts. The run is free, though tipping the supportive Waffle House staff is appreciated.
