About the event
Held on the first Saturday in November in Charlottesville, this fundraising and awareness event draws 200-300 dedicated runners and supporters of the Shelter. After the 8:00 am race finishes, all runners are welcome to stay for a chance to win one of many grab bag prizes donated by area businesses. This is always a fun and successful event thanks to many generous businesses and volunteers.
22nd Annual 5K Run/Walk for Shelter: November 3, 2018, 8:00am
Where: Charlottesville Downtown Mall
Cost: $25 before 10/16/18; $30 after and on race day. Long sleeved t-shirt only guaranteed to runners/walkers who have pre-registered by 10/16/18.
Packet Pickup: Friday, 11/2/18, 8:30am-6:30pm, Shelter for Help in Emergency Community Outreach Center, 1415 Sachem Place, Cville 22901
Awards: Top 3 female/male overall and top 3 female/male masters finishers receive awards. All runners are eligible for Grab Bag prizes. Must be present to win.
