The 13th Annual Haven Run For Home will be hosted on Saturday, March 11th from Charlottesville's Downtown Mall near 1st Street, ending at the Ting Pavilion. Afterwards, all participants are encouraged to enjoy an epic post-race breakfast at The Haven.

Race packet pick up will now be held at The Haven (112 W Market Street) on:Friday, 3/10 from 4:00pm-7:00pmSaturday, 3/11 (race day!) from 6:30am-7:30am
Please come to The Haven’s arched front sanctuary doors facing Market Street and Hill & Wood Funeral Home, directly next to the marquee. You’ll receive all of your race materials, including bib and special Haven socks. Virtual participants do not need to pick up a race packet, but please feel free to come by to pick up Haven socks!
RACE DAY INFORMATION:
What to know for Saturday's race:Race materials will be available at The Haven (*note new location*) on Friday, 3/10 between 4:00-7:00pm and Saturday, 3/11 between 6:30-7:30am. All in-person participants are highly encouraged to pick your packets up before the day of the race. On race day, we suggest that you park at the Market Street or Water Street garages.Bathrooms will be available on race day at the Pavilion at the east end of the mall. Please note that the new start is farther down the west end of the mall, near 1st Street.We ask that you please wear your race number VISIBLE somewhere on your FRONT, so the mat can read your chip.
All participants, whether virtual or in-person, are eligible to receive a special "Haven" socks. The socks will be available at the race packet pick-up at The Haven.
ABOUT THE HAVEN
All race proceeds benefit THE HAVEN in downtown Charlottesville. The Haven is a safe and welcoming day shelter and housing resource center for people currently experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Serving over 85 people daily, The Haven provides respite for the weary and transformation for the ready.
Any extra help you can provide The Haven is greatly appreciated. There are several ways to provide additional support:Add an EXTRA donation to The Haven during race registration. There will be an option during checkout.DONATE directly! Whether you can participate or not, any and all donations to The Haven are welcome.
This year, we've added special kids' pricing for ages 10 and under. The price change ($10 off) will be reflected at registration check out.
The Haven 8K Run, the third race in the RaceFest series, is traditionally thought of as a warm up race for the Charlottesville 10 Miler. As the third event in our 2023 RaceFest series, we will be keeping track of your individual points you accumulate at each event in the series. 5 points will be awarded each time you complete an event. You may accumulate more points based on your age group finish (3 points for 1st in your age group, 2 for 2nd and 1 for 3rd). Top 3 overall placers will also be awarded points. There are 8 races in the series, starting with the NYD5K. Visit cvilletrackclub.org to sign up.
VIRTUAL PARTICIPANT NOTESFor virtual races, you can run an 8K or 4K on your own anytime between March 11th, 2023 and March 12th, 2023.8K virtual participants will receive credit for RaceFest. After you've completed your course, you can submit your time to us.Unfortunately, virtual racers are not eligible for prizes.
