Capital City River Run

2019 marks the 26th anniversary of the Fifth Third Capital City River Run—a compilation of family-friendly races that celebrate, build awareness of, and financially support Greater Lansing organizations that promote education, the desire to learn, and healthy lifestyles. This run series provides a premier racing experience, highlighting both the eclectic urban corridor and natural beauty of Michigan’s capital city and adjoining rivers. 

The Fifth Third Capital City River Run makes a real impact within the community, benefiting Impression 5 Science Center and its mission to provide children and families access to science exploration through hands-on exhibits and participatory programming. The races also provide support to various local Charity Partners that align with the run’s mission. 2018’s Charity Partners include Team Lansing Foundation, Lansing Promise, McLaren Foundation, and
Friends of the Lansing Regional Trails.

Annual races include a Half Marathon, Half Marathon Relay, 5K Walk/Run, and the Sohn’s Kid’s Race. All race participants receive a long-sleeve shirt and baseball cap. The race will be chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation and you can check your results during the race and on the web at Playmakers.com.
