Colors 4 Cancer 10K/5K/1M

2023 Craig Brake Memorial Colors 4 Cancer 10k, 5k and 1 mile run/walk is a live or virtual color run which benefits the Journey of Hope Cancer Support Fund in New Bern, NC. Journey of Hope helps patients and families cope with the emotional, physical, and psychological effects of cancer by offering programs such as peer support groups, survivorship program, art therapy, yoga/exercise, and other various programs. We are part of comprehensive cancer resource center in Eastern North Carolina for people with cancer and their caregivers, to let them know they are not alone and we are here to support them in all aspects of this journey. We are a non for profit organization that supports 100% LOCAL people/families.  We are a proud part of the CarolinaEast Foundation.

This is a powdered COLOR 10K/5K/1 mile fun run/walk to celebrate the various cancer color campaigns.  You can participate in person at our LIVE event on Nov 4th, 2023, or virtually from anywhere at anytime from Nov 4th-11th.  You can participate or volunteer for this event.  We encourage you to register a team if able to celebrate or honor those who you know have been touched by cancer.  We will be having a team spirit award presentation at our LIVE event on Nov 4th following the race, for the team who shows their support with the most heart.  Voting for this is highly based on crowd praise for their favorite team.  

Medals will be given out for the LIVE event only, as terrain and courses will vary too greatly for the virtual event.  The top 3 finishers for the age ranges and genders are as follows for each event 10K and the 5K:  10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and above

Fees

Registration fee for the 10K color run is $40 per participant.  Student rate ages 6-17 is $25.

Registration fee for the 5K color run is $35 per participant. Student rate ages 6-17 is $25.

Registration fee for the 1 mile walk is $25 per participant.

T-shirts and color packets will be mailed prior to the race for VIRTUAL participants only, registered by October 15. 

Packet Pick Up Information

 Pickup will be at the CarolinaEast Foundation office Friday Nov 3 from 4-7, or by appointment setup Nov 1-3.

Virtual runners may pick up at packet pickup on Nov 3 or choose to have their packets shipped for a $5 fee.
