Desert Leprechaun 5K & 1Mile Run/Walk

EVENT UPDATE: 1/11/23:
The St Patrick's Day Festival and Parade Committee has informed us that they are not able to do the parade this year and therefore, we are very sad to announce that because we have no race course, we need to suspend the Desert Leprechaun event for 2023. Much planning is ahead of us to determine the move forward plan for the St. Patrick's Day Parade and the Desert Leprechaun 5K for 2024 (and most likely, a new location). Please check back here later this year for updates. Those who have already registered will be contacted directly by email with some options.

Southern Arizona Roadrunners (SAR) is very pleased to produce this running and walking event in downtown Tucson in partnership with the iconic Tucson St. Patrick's Day Parade Festival. It's a St. Patrick's Day party like no other! This event will take place beginning at 8:30am the morning of the festival on Sunday, March 12, 2023 and will be centered around the Children's Museum and Armory Park. The event will feature fast and flat courses along the Tucson St. Patrick's Day Parade route and will include a totally unique, custom finisher medal, a free beer at the festival with your race entry (only for those over 21 years old, of course!) and so much more. Bring your entire family out in the morning to get your run or walk on, and then stay for the amazing parade and festival. It will be an experience you won't soon forget! A portion of the event proceeds will be donated to the Children of Fallen Officers Scholarship Fund.
