**Athletes, Gear Up for the 45th Annual Mid-Hudson Road Runners Club Dutchess County Classic!**This event spans two days, featuring a variety of races perfect for competitive edge-seekers and personal record chasers. On Day One, join the 1k Kids Fun Run and the 5k, both located on Robinson Lane in Wappingers Falls, NY. On Day Two, challenge yourself with the 10k or the Half-Marathon along the William R. Steinhaus Dutchess Rail Trail and the iconic Walkway Over the Hudson in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Expect flat, scenic, USATF-certified courses designed for pushing your limits while taking in the breathtaking Hudson Valley landscapes, including farmland and river views. The Dutchess County Classic is an ideal setting for athletes targeting new personal records.
Participants who pre-register will receive a race t-shirt, and finishers of the 10k and Half-Marathon will earn medals. Complete races on both days for a special finisher medal—just sign up for the "COMBO" event to avail of a discounted rate.
**Start Locations & Times**
- **Day One**:
- 1k Kids Run begins at 8:30 am, and the 5k starts at 9:00 am, both from Robinson Lane Park. The 5k returns to its original, flat course, promising accuracy and performance measurement.
- **Day Two**:
- The Half-Marathon and 10k kick off at 7:30 am from Dutchess Community College. The Half-Marathon accommodates wheelchair participants. Both races incorporate the Hudson Valley Rail Trail, including the stunning Walkway Over the Hudson.
**Competitions & Prizes**
Top athletes can look forward to cash prizes in the Half-Marathon—$300 for 1st place, $200 for 2nd, and $100 for 3rd—along with prizes for top finishers in age groups across all events.
