FHT Iron Horse Gravel Grind

Gravel grind on the FHT and back country roads of Polk, Greene, and Dade Counties to Benefit the Frisco Highline Trail!

The Iron Horse Gravel Grind will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2024.  Rides will start and finish at Willard Trailhead on the Frisco Highline Trail. 

THE GRINDY - 26 mile Ride - (Must be 12 or older, with an adult.) This ride is not chip-timed.  2023 FHT 26 mile route: The Grindy THE GRINDER - 43 mile Race - (Must be 18 or older.) Chip-timed race.  2023 FHT IronHorse Route: The Grinder -THE GRINDEST- 84 mile Race - (Must be 18 or older and have GPS Navigation Device.) Chip-timed race.  2023 FHT Iron Horse Route: The Grindest - 

REGISTRATION:  Click HERE to register. Registered participants will receive finisher swag, one raffle ticket, and post-ride food and beverage (beer/soda.)
On-line registration ends:  May 1, 2024  at 12:15 am. Fees increase by $10 on April 1, 2024.

EVENT SCHEDULE
7:00am --- Check-in starts 
8:00am --- 84 mile ride starts 
9:00am --- 43 mile ride starts
10:00am --- 26 mile ride starts
Noon-5:00pm --- Post-race meal will be served at Willard Trailhead
1:30pm --- Raffle Drawing

More Tips & Details:

Gravel-ready bikes are recommended.  Helmets are required.All riders should have self-supported cycling & bike repair skills, and carry water, food, and other supplies needed for the ride. Supported with limited aide stations.84-mile Race Participants:  There will be cut-off times at each aide station and will be responsible for route navigation. Food and drink will be available to spectators in exchange for a donation to Ozark Greenways. Proceeds go to the trail's maintenance. 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:  We're looking for a few kind folks to help hand out drinks, food, and moral support at our five aide stations --- as well as hand out food, beer, and prizes at the finishline area. Our two main volunteer shifts are: 6:30am-1pm, and 1pm-5:30pm, although we're flexible on this if you're only able to help part of the time.
