Operation R&R Veterans Day 5K

Saturday, November 3rd, 2018
Race location is Mitchelville Freedom Park – Parking available at Cherry Hill parking area across from St. James Church
Race starts at 8:00 am with race day registration from 7-7:45 a.m.
Packet pick up will be at Palmetto Running Company, Shelter Cove Towne Centre, HHI on 11/02/18 from 3-5 p.m.
First 150 runners registered will get a T-shirt
$30 to register/ $25 for Active Duty members or Veterans
Post-race food and drinks will be provided  
Medals given to top finishers

Operation R&R mission is to give married men and women who have served in combat deployment the opportunity to reconnect and strengthen relationships with their families through Rest & Relaxation on Hilton Head Island at little or no cost. The program positively affects many reintegration issues such as divorces, suicides, child separation, anxiety issues, and PTSD symptoms.
All of this is to ensure that our military families have a chance to spend some time away from their everyday lives to strengthen relationships that have been strained due to long separations and extreme circumstances.
