About the event
Join on us on April 21st on the beautiful Lakeshore Path as we run and walk for Education and teachers in Sierra Leone! This event is being held by Project 1808, a student org on campus that works to bring sustainable community and education develop to communities in Sierra Leone. Our founder, Dr. Alhaji U N’jai, is not only a native of Sierra Leone but also an alumnus of UW Madison who is now working to give back to his community. Come out on April 21st and have some fun while helping us work on our mission of education for all! Participating in the event will cost $15 for students and $20 for non-students (These prices include the online sign up fee). Kids under the age of 7 can participate for free! When registering the prices are broken up based on age so if you are a student over the age of 25 feel free to sign up under the 25 and under category. The race will start at the beginning of the Lakeshore path near Memorial Union and College Library, can't wait to see you there!
