Uniper Rhein Marathon

Ein sehr gut organisierter Straßenlauf! Flaches Streckenprofil mit wenigen Anstiegen und nur knapp 30 Hm. auf der Halbmarathondistanz. Sehr gute Verpflegung und Stimmung auf der Strecke, genauso wie im Zielbereich. Bestens für Marathondebüts zu empfehlen!.

Sehr schöne, bestenlistenfähige Strecke mit wenigen leichten Anstiegen. Coole Stimmung!

Travelling from Dublin to Düsseldorf on a regular basis meant that I was familiar with the city and its lovely people. The flat nature of the course meant that it was ideal for my first marathon and I was right. Not a world beating time 4:22:22 but one i am enormously proud of. The course is a series of four different loops around the city which helped (to my mind) with minimising the daunting distance that is 42.2km. As an experience the whole event was brilliantly organised and marshaled.

The distance is split into 4 individual loops making it easier for friends, partners & spouses etc to see you at several points along the journey without too much difficulty. My partner met me 4 times and she only walked a few hundred meters each time. Unfortunately she had lots of waiting around for her slow coach of a husband. :-)
