RACE DESCRIPTION

Join the Seashore Striders for this early spring event on the beautiful GORDON'S POND TRAIL of Cape Henlopen State Park. RACE COURSE:

The 16th Shamrock Shuffle 5k/10m is a flat & fast course through Cape Henlopen State Park on the Lewes side of the park.
 

 

SAFE RUNNING & RACING

The Seashore Striders encourage you to run & race safely during the Shamrock Shuffle 5k/10m and remember the trails are not closed for the race.   All trails are open to the general public.

Seashore Strider Event Production will chip time the event using the Chronotrack chip timing system.

AWARDS:

Awards will be presented to the Overall Male & Female Champions, Overall Male & Female Masters (40+ yrs.), as well as the top three (3) Male & Female finishers in the following age categories: 5k...9 & under, 10-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Relay Awards...Top 3 Male, Female & Co-Ed Divisions

 

RELAY INFORMATION

The NEW Relay Division will feature Male/Male, Female/Female & Male/Female Divisions.  Runners will wear a timing chip on their ankle and manually switch the chip at the 5.0 mile turnaround point. Runner #1...Bib # without a chip & timing chip on ankleRunner #2...Same Bib # with a chip & timing chip on ankle In the Team Packets will be: 2 bibs of the same # one with a timing chip for runner #2A timing chip also of the same #2 t-shirts1 race map No electronic Splits, however a clock will be at the turnaround for you to see your splitTransportation to the turnaround point at Gordons Pond & back to the Lewes Start/Finish is on your own so please plan accordingly.

 

REFUNDS/DEFERRAL  

The Seashore Striders have a "No Refund" policy, however we make every possible attempt to please our client with the following options:  1. Transfer to a future Seashore Strider owned event of equal value before the end of the current year.   2. Donate your entry fee to the charity associated with the event or to the Seashore Strider Youth Running program.  3. Transfer/Defer to the following year at the same event.  Thank You for your cooperation & understanding as some situations are beyond the control of the Seashore Striders as we do not own every event we produce.
