About the event

Thousands of participants from around the globe have the unique opportunity to take part in the Midnight Sun Marathon, held annually in Tromsø, the Arctic capital of Norway. Located 350 km north of the Arctic Circle, the city is situated on a small island surrounded by sea and stunning mountains. Home to stark contrasts in nature, the area provides an intense running experience. During summer months, the sun never sets below the horizon, making running under the Midnight Sun an unforgettable experience.

Competitors can choose from five different distances: Marathon (42,2km), Mizuno Half Marathon (21,1km), Coop Mila (10km), iTromsø Mini-marathon (5km) and SNN Kids Race (500m). The races attract cheering crowds of locals along the streets of the course, turning this day into a festival.
