Charleston Sprint Triathlon Series Race 1

This landmark series is the ultimate challenge with a 600-yard swim, a 12-mile bike ride, and a 5K run. Athletes can compete in categories such as Open/Elite, Masters Open/Elite (Open/Elite competitors over the age of 40), Age Group, Clydesdale (men 220 pounds or greater), and Athena (women 165 pounds or greater). Here's what you can expect: The race welcomes triathletes of every level, including beginners. Convenient parking is available at the event site, along with accessible facilities. The swim begins from a water wading position and takes place in open water, with Charleston County Parks Emergency Services ensuring safety on the water and along the lake bank. The bike segment weaves through the park and onto city roads, with officers stationed at vital intersections to ensure safety. The running portion includes two loops on paved trails and roads within the park.
