CAK5K on the Runway

The event offers a unique running experience on an airport runway and through the Ohio Air Guard Facility, concluding at the MAPS Air Museum. Participants can enjoy distinctive finisher medals and have a chance to win running shoes through raffles and placements. The race features an "Afterburner Zone," a 100-meter segment within the course, with special awards for top performers. Additional highlights include a post-race party with refreshments, and various awards for overall and age group winners. The event is part of the Green Great 8 Race Series and celebrates Akron's Bicentennial, with military discounts available.
