About the event

***** This Race Has Been Canceled *****

We regret to inform the MABRA community that we must cancel the Church Creek Time Trial #1 scheduled for April 13th. The pavement on a large section of the course has been milled in preparation for paving and it will not be completed by the time of the race. This road condition makes it unsafe for a bike race and as such the State Highway Administration will not issue us a permit, a decision we fully agree with. We are exploring other possible dates for the race but can not guarantee we can do it. However, the August race #2 will go on as scheduled.

We apologize for the abrupt closing of the BikeReg event but once it became evident we had to cancel we didn't want anyone else registering. For those that registered already, we will be issuing refunds.

Thanks for your understanding and we will make an announcement if we can find another date. At the very least, see you in August!

Common Courtesy: ABRT would like to remind everyone that we all have a responsibility to leave the time trial course cleaner than we find it on race day. All refuse should be discarded into appropriate containers. Any riders found illegally discarding objects on the middle school grounds, the roads leading to and from the time trial course, and the roads of the time trial course itself will be dealt with accordingly (see USCF Rule 3B9 which states in part - 'Riders may not discard materials that are not biodegradable; they may pass or throw such material to support personnel in places far from any bystanders [relegation or disqualification for littering or unauthorized feeding]'). Police, turnaround officials, and corner workers are not 'support personnel' and riders should not throw anything to them as they pass. Please be respectful of the environment and its inhabitants.

Language: It was brought to the promoter’s attention that a few riders are using course language will warming up in the village of Church Creek. This is a small quiet community that welcomes racers twice a year to use their local roads. Please be courteous when warming up early in the morning and remember that it is quiet and voices carry.

Follow Vehicles: While ABRT does not recommend the use of follow vehicles for either the ITT or TTT, their use is permitted per USCF Rules 3E7 and 3F12. Participants wishing to use follow vehicles must get prior written approval from the Chief Referee. Participants must submit Written Approval as well as Driver's License and Automobile Registration Information to the Race Director at least 24 hours prior to race day. Participants are responsible for any and all insurance costs associated with using a follow vehicle during their respective time trials (typically $125.00 per vehicle). Follow vehicles must obey all applicable traffic laws and USCF Rules. This will be strictly monitored.

Awards: Medals must be picked up at registration once results are final. Unclaimed medals will not be mailed.
