About the event

Jersey Spartan Half-Marathon is a friendly community event which is open to runners of all abilities. The course was created and first measured 40 years ago being part of the Full Marathon which club organised in its early days. It presently operates under a IAAF course measurement from March 2018 reference 18/308 using a Run Britain Open Road Race Permit.

The race is the most southerly half marathon in the British Isles and is held on tarmac roads. It undulates from the athletics track in St Clement at sea level, uphill after the first mile, through scenic country lanes in Grouville and St Saviour to St Martin passes Hougue Bie & Mont Orgeuil Castle local heritage sites. The route map is here.

Runners (minimum age 17) shall receive water, a Technical T shirt, a bespoke medal and a post race snack.

Both Fun Runs stay within the boundary of the playing fields. The event for aged 11 upwards (Under 13, 15, 17) is 1500m. The race for those aged 3 to 10 the distance is 1k.
