Glen of Aherlow Trail Run

Geologically a fragment of the Galtee mountains,Slievenamuck,or hill of the pig,derives its name from the feats of Finn MacCumhall who in days of yore speared the vicious sow ,Beo thus liberating the good people of the Glen of Aherlow.
The Glen is a picturesque valley nestling between Slievenamuck and the Galtee mountains in Co Tipperary and it is within this breathtaking beauty of nature that the race takes place.

The 13.1 mile Loop De Loop trail course offers three different distances on the day to suit all runners looking for a new and challenging off road running experience.As well as the three single events there is also a three member team option.
Each team member is to complete one 13.1 mile loop at the same time as the half marathon start. Each of their times are combined at the end of the run to get an overall team time.

Prices for each event are as follows -
Hare 13.1 - 35 euro - Half Marathon
Fox 26.2 - 40 euro - Marathon
Stag 39.3 - 45 euro - Ultra Marathon
Team event - 90 euro per team
