Heritage Day Junior Classic

HERITAGE DAY JUNIOR CLASSIC ROAD RACE

Sanctioned by the Bermuda National Athletic Association

Race Start: 

Near Junction of Front & Court Street (stoplight at Supermart is actual start)

Start Time:

Approx. 9:00am (start depends on the last cyclist through the start point)

Distance: 

2.0 miles **This is a measured course**                       

Age Groups:

Boys/Girls 8-10; Boys/Girls 11-12;  Boys/Girls 13-15               

Age on race date will determine age category

Number Pick-up:

Number Pick Up - beginning at 8:00 am - Court St. opposite the Cabinet Office [between Front St. & Reid St.

Race Route:

Start on Front Street near the junction of Front and Court Street (actual start is at the Supermart traffic light) at approx.. 9:25 am. The route will head west along Front Street to the Bird Cage, than turn right onto Queen Street, right onto Church Street, than left onto King Street, than left onto Victoria Street, than right onto Cedar Avenue onto Marsh Folly Road, than right onto Dutton Avenue into the Bernard’s Park.         

RUNNING, WALKING, OR RIDING BESIDE A PARTICIPANT DURING THE RACE WILL RESULT IN THE DISQUALIFICATION OF THAT PARTICIPANT.

Prize Giving: 

Awards will be given at Bernard Bark after the event.

TIME RESTRICTION

Participants should be able to complete the event in under 20mins, so they do not interfere with the finish of the Bermuda Half Marathon Derby. Failure to do so may result in a participant being removed from the course.
