HOLLA! is an organization founded in 2005 dedicated to supporting education and empowering underprivileged communities in Anson County. Inspired by Frederick Douglass, HOLLA! aims to build strong children through a variety of programs. It has transformed a former hardware store in Morven, NC into a resource center with facilities for education and community activities. HOLLA! provides mentoring, tutoring, and cultural events, including a production of The Lion King Jr., supported by a Disney grant. The organization also engages in cultural exchanges with an orphanage in Liberia through its HOLLA! Africa initiative.
