About the event
To honor the life and accomplishments of Kelly Watt "The Friends of Kelly Watt" will be hosting the 19th Annual Kelly Watt Open. The race of 3200 meters (2 miles) on a grassy trail surface. The proceeds will go to the Kelly Hansen Watt Memorial Scholarship Fund, which is awarded annually to a deserving Albemarle High School student athlete. The race is a way to honor Kelly by running or walking the course where he won his first personal championship.
