Trail running
10 km
330 m of elevation gain
The 10km Trail Race is graded ‘Moderate’, this means to all, whether you want to cruise round it as your introduction to trail running or race it at the front end. The course is beautiful and interesting from the word go.

The start is located halfway down Derwent Water and is accessed from the Keswick Mountain Festival events centre, Crow Park, by a scenic ride on one of the Keswick Launch Company’s boats. This is included in the entry price of the race.

The course is a mixture of wide-open trails through amazing woodland, a little single track, a few short and sharp hills, some road & fields to finish. If you’re new to trail running then this is the course for you, being a short distance with a small amount of ascent. Expect amazing running in some of the Lake Districts best trail running country along the shores of Derwent Water & under the fellside flank of the famous Catbells.

50 km
1995 m of elevation gain
Race size: 250 - 499 participants
The 50km Ultra Marathon Trail Race is graded ‘Very Hard’. This ultra marathon distance race is not for the faint hearted.
The Ultra 50k is fast becoming a classic in the calendar. This fantastic course takes in some of the best trails and views that the Watendlath, Borrowdale, Butteremere and Newlands valleys have to offer. You don’t need to be an elite runner to complete the course, but make sure you have done the training required, as it can be a tough day out!

The course is a mixture of wide open trails, single track (fast & technical), big long ascents & fast technical descents, open valley running and very remote trails around the back of the Buttermere, Crummock Water and Newlands Valley’s. It takes in remote locations that you will not have run in before. Expect to be blown away by the views of the 4 valleys we take you through & overwhelmed by the quality of running you will be immersed in. This race is not only tough, but is also one of the most scenic races of its type in the Lake District, taking mountains and lowlands in its stride offering you one of the best trail running experience in the country!
