Swag bag , Race phots and REFRESHMENTS INCLUDED AT THE FINISH LINE!
So let me explain the event and what you can expect when you come to Obstacle Wonderland
6 Hour Solo Multi Lap - At the sound of the horn you will start on a 3 mile trail. The trail will have some single track terrain, some very technical terrain, and some flat wide open areas, even some elevation , and let's not forget several obstacles that you'll conquer on your trek. You will have 6 hours to complete as many 3 mile laps as possible!
6 Hour Team Multi Lap - Grab a friend and take turns running the 3 mile trail overcoming obstacles along the way. Cross the finish line and now your friend starts the their 3 mile lap around... rinse and repeat for 6 hours!
5K- 10K - Tried and true, one full loop for the 5k and 2 laps for the 10K!
Kids 1k - Let SGX Coach Brittany guide your kids thru some challenging obstacles and thru the finish line to get their own finish swag!
All this with music and food to fuel you thru the day! Hopefully that sealed the deal to get you to sign up!
And now that you want to sign up :) here is a comprehensive welcome guide and reference of everything you’ll need to know to prepare for the upcoming event and to make the most of your day!
We appreciate and admire everyone who will be out there enjoying our " grassroot" style obstacle course! We’ve grown into what we are today by word of mouth so if you had a great time, tell a friend! Post about us online! We appreciate the support and are proud to give athletes a space of their own in the Hudson Valley.
The official course address is:
314 New Unionville Road
Wallkill NY 12589
Phone number: 845-629-7922
In true Wonderland spirit, partial proceeds from all race entries will benefit students & programming at our neighboring Plattekill Elementary School and to the Walden Humane Society. We are dedicated to giving back with every race and we’re fortunate to have a great support system in YOU to take care of our community.
We graciously welcome donations via the signup link, and or animal supplies that you can bring to the event that we will be donating in your honor. Any and all generosity is so appreciated by us and the great causes we have lined up for this race. Thank you for your kindness!
We are a fully outdoor obstacle course. Please dress accordingly and for the weather. Should we experience weather conditions that make our event unsafe, we will make necessary announcements. THAT SAID, our sport is all terrain and all weather! If it’s rainin’ we’re trainin’ and if it’s snowin’ we’re goin’ ! We don’t mind a little weather but we’ll always make the call with your safety in mind.
Day-of Heat Schedule:

When you arrive at 314 New Unionville Road- You will see a volunteer guiding you around a horseshoe driveway. Please follow the signs for " EVENT PARKING" and listen to the volunteer. Visitors & Spectators
Coming to watch the show? Spectators are always welcome! Our venue offers a clear view of virtually all obstacles from almost any spot on the main field. All spectators must sign a waiver and be given a yellow wristband upon arrival. For your safety, our participating athletes, and our field staff, ALL visitors must sign a waiver. NO EXCEPTIONS!!
If you think you'll have spectators with you, please go to our website and submit your waiver ahead of time! www.obstaclewonderland.com
Guests are welcome to bring a chair and observe the race from the top of the field. For everyone’s safety, spectators are not permitted on or through the course at any time. Please do not walk through the field.
Portable restrooms are accessible at registration.
Obstacle Wonderland has a unique layout with all main obstacles spaced appropriately across one field. Trails wind throughout the back portion of the main field in an all-terrain circuit. Spectators are asked to keep off the course while the event is in session for their safety and the safety of athletes.
PLEASE RECOGNIZE YOUR LIMITS! While we encourage everyone to challenge themselves and pursue their OCR goals at Obstacle Wonderland, we ask that you be mindful of safety and listen to your body as you navigate the course. There’s no shame in taking breaks or skipping obstacles! We’re here to have fun and to challenge ourselves and each other SAFELY.
There are no applicable penalties for this race, but if you are unable to complete an obstacle 20 jump squats are in order!
Please be mindful and courteous to others that may be waiting for the obstacle. Due to OW's unique course design, you can always come back after the race is over and try those rings or spear throw again. Give it a try and move on to the next.
Navigating the Trails
Please note that our trail includes technical segments and specific obstacles. Volunteers will be stationed throughout the trail for assistance. We ask that you please follow the RED markers and the YELLOW tape that outlines the paths.
Runners will navigate 3 different trails marked and guided by the RED trail indicators. You will come even tackle obstacles along those red trails.
The end of each trail will put you on the main field to do a series of obstacles that will then lead back into the next trail.
There will be bottled water on the field and a bottled water station located on a portion of the trail. All water and beverages will be first come first serve so we do encourage athletes to bring water and their reusable bottles with them.
We will be offering some complimentary homefries & eggs cooked by my mom and my Aunt :) at the finish line to help athletes refuel and of course, no race is complete without our signature
"Air-fried Twinkies! " WhooWhooo!!!!
Feel free to bring any additional refreshments you'd like to snack on, we just kindly ask you to remove any garbage upon exiting the field. Tailgating is welcome and if you’re looking to RV to us or camp, please let us know ahead of time and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs!
+ A FIRST AID KIT WILL BE ACCESSIBLE AT THE REGISTRATION TABLE + and there will be First Aid certified volunteers on site.
There will be a bag drop tent for anyone who would like to drop their bag. Please note that Obstacle Wonderland is not responsible for any lost or stolen belongings. We ask that you lock all valuables in your vehicles during the race.
