About the event
8 October 2022 will be the Second Annual Brat Trot 5k! The event is hosted by On Tap, a local tap house / beer bar located in the heart of historic downtown Mooresville, NC. The event will start and end at this popular locale, beginning at 9 am and finishing up around 12 pm.
The event is an homage to the Oktoberfest Festival customary to Germany and will be followed up by On Tap's Octoberfest and Anniversary Celebration! The Brat Trot 5k and Oktoberfest have a few things in common: good beer, good friends, and good fun-- with the added bonus of a little heart-healthy exercise before celebration!
NEW THIS YEAR!! We are adding a run for kids 8 years old and under. The Broad Street Place Jr. Brat Trot will run from Academy to the finish line on Moore Ave. It is a straight shot to victory for your little one. For their $5 entry fee, they will receive a finisher medal. This is not a timed event. It is so your little one can get into the spirit of running! Sign them up so they can run, too!
The Brat Trot 5k also benefits the Lake Norman Humane Society. They will be at the event, running with dogs that you might just want to adopt! If you visit their website, you can see other animals who are looking for their forever home. https://www.lakenormanhumane.org
