Spook Hill is back in its full glory for 2022. We'll be using the scenic, traditional 4-mile hybrid road/XC course that winds through historic Burkittsville (yes, the Blair Witch town), Boordy's South Mountain Vineyard, historic Burkittsville Union Cemetery, farmland owned by South Mountain Creamery, and the Distillery Lane Ciderworks' orchard.
Traditionally, we've sold out, so registering early is recommended!
Finisher's Awards: Finishers will receive one of our traditional wine glasses AND a handy-dandy custom finishers medal that will double as a bottle stopper/bottle opener!
Visit the participating wineries/cideries/eateries on the Spook Hill Tasting Trail after your run. Boordy Vineyards will be on-site offering tastings and sales. DLC, which is across the street from race HQ, should be opening at 9:45. Antietam Creek Vineyards, Orchid Cellar, and Willow Oaks round out the establishments on the Spook Hill Tasting Trail and all will be offering specials for our participants - your race bib will have ticket stubs for redemption. See the race website's Post-Run Page for details, hours, and dates of operation.
Overland Timing is providing timing services.
Artisans from the Valley Craft Network will be creating our overall M & F awards and our Mid-Pack Maven Award. These promise to be one-of-a-kind keepsakes for our 1st-3rd place overall winners!
5-Year Age Group Awards, M& F: Age Groups, 3-deep (no double dipping): 10 and under; 11-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75 and over. *Overall awards are to be determined by gun time, with age group awards determined by chip time.
