The swimming start is in the local river (La Meuse), below the walled enclosure. You swim in a green setting because swimming along an island located in the center of the river, it is called Ile Vas-t’y Frotte.
Then, get on your mountain bike and set off to storm the Citadel. Walk the Route Merveilleuse, a legendary road climbed many times by the Tour de France and visible in a scene from the film "The bike of Guislain Lambert". Paved road which offers athletes a panoramic view of the city of Namur.
The mountain bike course is a succession of bumps, sometimes steep, totaling 450m D +. A mixture of climbs, fast but never very steep descents, of single tracks including small technical portions.
The end of the course takes you into the arena, the Esplanade de la Citadelle. The many spectators, the unique atmosphere offered by XTERRA Belgium, will undoubtedly offer the athletes a moment of emotion and thrills.
Finally, running, a circuit traced in the heart of the Citadel. A demanding course including many single tracks, steps and a multitude of climbs and descents that allow participants to discover this historic place.
