Maratona Japheth Kosgei outpaced more then 1963 runners to win in 02:10:42. Alex Kiprotich Trikoi earned runner-up honours with a time of 02:17:40. Finishing third was Paul Koech Kimutai (02:18:59). In the ladies race, Pascalia Chepkogei took top honours by finishing the race in 02:33:28 . She bested Sarah Giomi who crossed the finish line 6 minutes 42 secondes behind her.

Results 2019: Fargo Marathon
Sanford Health Marathon Arturs Bareikis won the race with a time of 02:27:14, followed by Anthony Kirui who finished with a time of 02:28:58. Daniel Borash got the third place in 02:29:39. For the women, Val Curtis scored victory with a time of 02:43:08 . She finished une minute 21 secondes ahead of Megan Smith. Finishing third was Ericka Mason (02:48:16).
