About the event

The 70 miler follows the Land's End Trail from Avebury to Glastonbury. This trail was originally established in the glorious 1990s as an alternative route for walkers from Land's End to Jon o Groats to take through the South West, heading inland and relieving pressure on the coast path. It was designed to be as direct as possible, and stretches all the way through Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and a good portion of Wiltshire. The route follows part of the ridgeway, which offers stunning views over the surrounding countryside. Along the way you will pass the famous White Horse at Westbury, Longleat Safari Park and New Zealand.... yes, really... but not that one! Crossing into Somerset, where the route flattens out a little, and where you should spot the iconic Tor from some distance, you will know your adventure is nearing its end, but there is still plenty to enjoy. Great views of the Mendip Hills and the Somerset Levels are to be had at different points before you reach the grandstand finish
