Parkersburg News and Sentinel

The half marathon race begins in downtown Parkersburg at 8 a.m. and the two-mile will immediately follow. The half marathon course will take you out of the city and into the scenic surroundings of W.Va. before looping back into the commercial area. You will finish the race to the cheers of thousands of spectators lined up on Market Street prior to the Parkersburg Homecoming Festival Parade. The minimum age to participate is 15. There is no race day registration.

Raymond Magut grinded past more than 445 runners to win in 01:04:06. Coming in second was Edwin Kibichiy (01:04:15). Finishing third was Cleophas Ngetich (01:04:40). For the women, it was Martha Akeno (01:14:20) taking the top spot. She finished une minute 49 secondes ahead of Areba Damaris. While Meseret Merine came in third at 01:17:10 Top 5 Men 1 Raymond Magut
