Spring Hill Marathon Mania

Prize Money will be offered in the Marathon and Half marathon: Men and Women Overall: 1st: $300, 2nd: $150, 3rd: $75.........Masters Men and Women: 1st: $50   Other Races:https://linktr.ee/Dr.Craig Marathon Mania 2024 will have events on 1/7/2024  at Withlacoochee State Trail starting at the Ridge Manor Trail Head.   There are hotels and restaurants close to the park (1.5 miles) which makes it a convenient location for the race.   Sunday 1/07/2023 Marathon & Half Marathon start at 7:30 am 5k, 10k & 5k Under 18 start at 7:45 am     Course update: The course is 3.275 miles long The marathon will do 4 loops and the half marathon will do 2 loops The 5k and 10k will do 1 loop Hydration will be at the loop, 5k, 10k, and 3.275 mile turn around Advantages: Family and friends can watch the runners at the loop (start/finish] and mile mark 1.3 Mile 1.3 is where the side road crosses the trail. Cars can park there and watch the runners It will be easier for medical response time

    PACKET PICKUP THE RACE IS AT RIDGE MANOR TRAIL HEAD.  PACKET PICK UP WILL BE ON 1/07/2023 FROM 1:00 PM TO 4:00 PM AT RIDGE MANOR TRAIL HEAD AND AGAIN ON RACE DAY MORNING FROM 5:00 AM TO 6:30 AM.   

 

TEAMS-TEAMS AND MORE TEAMS We are going to have team awards for the best time. The teams will be composed of 2 runners.  The best time wins the award.   EVERYONE RECEIVES A FINISHERS MEDAL. THERE ARE OVERALL AWARDS AND AGE GROUP AWARDS.      This course begins at Ridge Manor Trail Head at exit 301 off of 75.  On this flat and fast route, enjoy the beautiful scenery and it will keep you motivated. The course is open to mother nature but closed entirely to motor vehicles.  There will be three Hydration Stations throughout the course. All runners that have completed three years in a row will receive a commemorative medal and other awards at the finish line.  Trophies will be given to the Overall Female and Male placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd.  Winners of the age division will be presented trophies for their awards.    Strava Training: Join the club for free and log your training miles  (https://www.strava.com/clubs/planetjoggers)   Age Group Awards:  9 and under,10-19 20-29, 30-39... all the way up to 80+ (10 deep for less than 300 runners)       THE RACE IS WALKER AND WHEELCHAIR FRIENDLY (only 5k and 10k-you can't walk the marathon or half marathon course) WE HAVE  6 HOUR TIME LIMIT TO COMPLETE THE MARATHON (you can't walk the whole course)   Transfers: No transfers on race day Refunds:  No refunds Race Starting Times by Distance: RUNNERS MUST BE ON THE STARTING LINE 10 MIN BEFORE YOUR START TIME ·        ·
