Saint Simons Christian School partners with the Jekyll Island Authority to sponsor the Under the Oaks Run- a 13.1 Half Marathon, 10K and 5K to be held on Columbus Day weekend, on the beautiful and scenic Jekyll Island.
The courses are USATF certified and all three races are USATF sanctioned so that both casual and competitive runners may enjoy each event. The ORION timing team came to Jekyll and ran/rode the 13.1 course.
Comments that came back to us were; "It is hands down our favorite run and you have done an amazing job creating the course. I would market the course as: shaded, picturesque, flat, and fast!"
