5K Firecracker Run

Thank you for your support of HELP of Beaufort.  

JoinHelp of Beaufort for a FIRECRACKER 5K Race on the morning of July 4th in Downtown Beaufort.  Starting at 8am on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, on Bay & Newcastle Streets.  Run through historic downtown Beaufort and across the famous Woods bridge following a certified 5K course. 

Packet pickup will be available at Grounded Running located at 2139 Boundary Street, Ste 108, Beaufort, SC 29902 on Saturday, July 1st from 10am until 4pm.  T-shirts and sizes are not guaranteed for registrations after June 12, 2023.   

Please note that we have added the ability to register as a Virtual Participant.  Virtual participants will be able to have their shirt mailed to them. We will make a best effort to mail shirts prior to the event for those requesting this. 

July 4th -Same day entries will be accepted on race day from 7:00 a.m. to 7:40 a.m. ONLY. 

Age categories:  under 12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Prizes awarded to overall top three male and female and top two male and female in age divisions.   Awards are for in-person participants only and awards will begin PROMPTLY at 8:45am.  

Event is pet and stroller friendly.  Flexi-type leashes will not be allowed at the event.  Please have pets on a standard 4-6ft lead. 

Course:  Start/finish line at Freedom Mall down Bay Street cross Woods Memorial Bridge to Lady's Island down Meridian Rd to Youmans Drive and double back the same route to Freedom Mall. 

Please note that registration for this event and shipping fees are NOT REFUNDABLE.  If we are unable to host an in person/live race, we will transfer to a virtual format.

Where can I get my race shirt? All racers are eligible for the t-shirt giveaway, but will not receive their shirts at packet pick-up or on race day. Instead, participants will be emailed a merchandise voucher which can be used to have the sponsor race shirt or other merch of their choice shipped directly to them (1 merchandise voucher per registered runner). This email will come from the sender "[email protected]". Please make sure you save this email as a safe sender and check your spam to ensure you receive your merchandise voucher. All merchandise vouchers must be used before the expiration date of 07/09/23.
