One in Five 5K

People gather in solidarity to raise awareness about the impact of sexual violence in Maine communities. Hosted by the Sexual Assault Crisis & Support Center, the event honors Sexual Assault Awareness Month and serves as a powerful reminder of the estimated statistic that one in five Mainers have been affected by sexual violence. Participants can choose to engage in both in-person and virtual activities. Friendly leashed dogs and strollers are welcome at the event. All proceeds benefit the Center’s various survivor support services like support groups, advocacy, and education, which are essential for Kennebec and Somerset counties.
