SASH 5K – Stepping Up Awareness

The Stepping Up Awareness Run/Walk invites participants to the scenic San Antonio State Hospital grounds to support mental health. This rare opening allows runners and walkers to enjoy views of the facility and the iconic Tower of the Americas. Pets on leashes and baby strollers are welcome, and volunteers are encouraged to cheer on participants. It features a professionally timed, chip race with prizes for the top finishers. Proceeds benefit the Volunteer Services Council, enhancing care for mental health patients. Registration fees vary, with an option to donate if unable to attend.
