Tim Kennard River Run- 10 miler & 5k Run

The Tim Kennard River Run returns March 19, 2023!

After a successful location in 2022, we are pleased to again host and remain in the same great venue so we can have Tim Kennard 2023. Salisbury Bible Fellowship (1500 Court Plaza Ln) has again kindly provided their support and their facility for the race start and finish. They are located right on the course and are committing to making race day a day of service for their church!

Timothy Kennard, 48 years old, and father of a 7-year-old son, passed away on March 11, 2004. He fought a courageous battle against kidney cancer. Tim is missed by his family and fellow running friends. This run/walk is in his honor, with proceeds going, as Tim requested, to help children and animals. This year the proceeds will help Team 360, which helps people of different abilities train and participate in mainstream athletic events; Coalition of Caring, a fund for our animal friends; and the Eastern Shore Running Club Scholarship Fund.

This year the proceeds will help the following:  Team 360, which provides motivation and support to people of different abilities, empowering and enabling them to train and participate in mainstream athletic events.Coalition of Caring, which helps our animal friends in need. by assisting with medical needs adoption, spay, and neuter costs, as well as by helping cover the cost of transporting homeless animals to rescues.Eastern Shore Running Club Scholarship Fund

RACE COURSE: Beautiful course through the City of Salisbury, MD

 

RACE TIMING: Seashore Strider Event Production will chip time the event using the Chronotrack chip timing system.

 

RACE AMENITIES: Long Sleeve T-Shirts, a beautiful course, nice awards, great after-party post-celebration.

      

PARKING:  Plenty of parking in the start/finish area of Salisbury Bible Fellowship Church

RACE NOTE:

To ensure runner safety, unregistered runners, bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades, baby joggers, and dogs are strictly prohibited on the 10 mile and 5K race course.  The non-competitive 5K walk will allow baby. joggers and well-behaved canines.
